Game Recap
A great Jamboree home rink opener took place during October's last weekend @ Hatfield Ice!  The Might Fright excited vibes were felt by the U-Can players from the locker room straight onto the ice.  Our team's older players A Fusarelli, T Boccella,  and S Poulin came out to support the ""littles"" as they showcased their new hockey skills for the captive audience.  In addition, the U19 Lady Patriots had six players come and run the ADM skills sessions. The feedback was so positive.

There was no shortage of goalies volunteering to step in as netminders.  First volunteer was L Carrullo who stood a little taller than the pads and made some nice saves with a smile the entire time.  The next group of netminders were MC Carrullo,  M Richards, D Stephenson who tracked the puck and counted the number of saves made so they could report it to the coaching staff.  Our final goalie of the day M Heavens made a remarkable 40 saves in her netminding debut, including 4 in a row!

Other members of U-Can made their hockey debuts today. T McEntee & J Kleckner skated their hearts out, tracking the puck and trying to get close enough to the opponent's goal to shoot the puck.  J Kleckner's efforts were rewarded with a Hat Trick and no one celebrated more than her older sister and U-Can Student Coach.

The coaching staff was excited to see passes made by the girls to their teammates in the later games.  MC Carrullo, L Carrullo, M Richards, D Stephenson and T McEntee supported their team by cheering  from the bench "Let's Go Lady Patriots!" and keeping track of our mascot "Sparkle"

What better way to end the Jamboree than with pizza and a commemorative patch!

Well done U-Can.

Game Recap
After a weekend off, the Crazy 8’s were back on the ice for an early Saturday morning tilt against the In-House Flames. It didn’t take long for the Lady Patriots to find their game, jumping out to an early 3-0 lead with two goals from R. Ilg and and another from P. “Slay Queen” Demmer. The Flames got one late in the first to make it 3-1 after one. The Lady Patriots started the second period a little sluggish and the Flames capitalized and scored minutes in to pull within one. That would be as close as the game would get! The girls quickly got back to playing strong, aggressive and unselfish Hockey. They pinned the Flames in their own zone for the remainder of the second period. Goals by C. Connors and G. Cevoli extended the lead to 5-2. A. Lorand and J. Scheuermann were key to shutting down the Flames attack, as they played tough defense and limited their opponents chances. L. Segal played great in net as usual, frustrating the Flames with several key saves. The Lady Patriots started the third period with their star goalie on the bench due to a helmet issue. V. Dragos stepped up and volunteered to play goalie while the equipment issue was getting sorted out. Dragos not only stepped up, but she shined out, making 3 huge saves, including a highlight reel sliding kick save which earned a huge applause from the crowd at sold out Hatfield arena. Midway through the third, the Lady Patriots pushed their lead to 6-2 with a nifty goal from C. Connors. The score would remain 6-2 and the crazy 8’s earned their second win in a row. Co-stars of the game were V. Dragos for her great two way play and courageous goaltending effort. J. Scheuermann was our other star. Playing defense for the first time this season,  she was tough on the puck and made great passes into the offensive zone to her teammates all game long.

Game Recap
The Crazy 8’s were back in action on Saturday November 4th, as they took on the in-house Coyotes. The early game time had little impact on the Lady Patriots, as they put on their blue war paint and hit the ice ready to play. The girls came out flying, playing a fast and aggressive brand of Hockey. The hard work paid dividends early as the Lady Patriots got goals from G. Cevoli, P. Demmer and V. Dragos to establish an early lead. R. Ilg also got on the scoresheet with a nice goal late in the first to extend the lead. J. Scheuermann led a relentless Lady Patriots forecheck and also added a few assists. A. Lorand and C. Connors played tough smart defense all game and each added a goal to help push the game out of reach. While this was a great all around TEAM win, we have to give a special shout-out to our number one star of the game L. Segal. The Lady Patriots goaltender flashed early and often, making big saves throughout the game. Her elite performance frustrated the Coyotes and led the way to a big 13-4 victory! Great work team!!!
