Grateful for the New Folks Doing Service at Intergroup & For the Outgoing Members Who Have Been of Service the Past Few Years
12.14.23
🗓️ We have a new Meeting List Chair that will start mid-January! Thank you so much to the current Meeting List Chair for their service to the local meetings for the past couple of years. (And the chair before them, and the one before them!) We all worked together the years before the pandemic and navigated the changes through it. So grateful you've given members a place to easily find meetings near them.
🌴 We have a new Southern California CoDA Representative! Thank you so much to the outgoing representative for your years of service and for connecting our Los Angeles community to the greater SoCal area so that our votes can be heard at the international level. Connecting us helps us have a wider pool of experience to hear when we have questions about recovery, meetings and safety. Thank you to the incoming rep too!
📚 We have a new Literature Chair! Thank you for your service and care for starting up selling literature in-person to the local community again so they can benefit from lower prices from us buying in bulk. It feels good to add back in some pre-pandemic practices! (Anyone interested in buying, it will take a few months to set up, but we'll get the word out when it's ready!)
💾 We have a new Virtual Office committee member-at-large! They're checking it out and will try coordinating the internal intergroup phone list and potentially send out the announcements emails to the LA Fellowship mailing list. And if it's all too much, they'll let go of the position or some of it. But for now, we're delighted to have them exploring with us!
💻 Also, for the past six months, we've had a new Webmaster! And a new co-Webmaster for the Events page! Grateful to have you both being of service, joining in the group conscience process, and providing resources for the local community. Some 12-step groups have an in-person office, but to live within our means and be self-supporting (Tradition 7), we have a "Virtual Office" - the website. It's our central hub for all the resources we offer as support to Los Angeles meetings. It also houses our intergroup community business meeting history so that we can be transparent. Thank you both for providing this space!
⏰ For the past year, we've also had a new Vice Chair who times our monthly meetings which keeps things safe, equal and efficient! They also are our Info Line Chair, answering questions from potential members who call our phone number or email info@lacoda.org. Thank you for your service!
🎉 And lastly, for the past year, we've had a new Events Chair! Thank you so much for your service and coordination of many other trusted servants who have felt excited to provide events for the community. After years apart during the pandemic, having an Events Chair again has started to weave us back towards a huge part of recovery that was missing- interdependence in-person, and opened up more connection for local virtual events. Thank you and everyone who has participated in this committee and its events!
🪑 Truly lastly, I started as the new Intergroup Chair about 9 months ago. I'm grateful to be in the position and for the people who happen to be Higher-Power led to be participating right now.
✍️ Our Secretary just finished up their role. Thank you so very much to them for transcribing our intergroup meetings month after month for the past year! It's a huge service and helps us in the present and the future. They were also a Group Service Representative and kept us in touch with their home meeting each month. We're grateful for the connection you gave us and for your spirit!
🙏 There are more folks in Intergroup who aren't new at their positions and I want to take time to acknowledge them and say- thank you for your service.
If you're interested in participating at the intergroup level, especially as Secretary or as a literature committee member, feel free to come to any 2nd Saturday monthly intergroup meeting to check it out or email questions to info@lacoda.org. Intergroup can be a good place to practice the group conscience process (Tradition 2). We are barebones but we're working to build a solid Tradition-following foundation of safety so there is stability for others to join and build upon. If it feels like part of your recovery to be a part of that, we'd love to have you.

Start a Meeting in Hacienda Heights?
12.13.23
Message from a CoDA member:
Creating an In Person Women's Meeting in Hacienda Heights or Surrounding Area
I am reaching out to the surrounding intergroups of the Valley to ask for support in finding interest of other codependents to start an in person Women's group in or around the Hacienda Heights area. Currently there are only Spanish speaking meetings within a 10 mile radius and I would like to be of service to create a meeting with other codependents. However, I am unaware of who might be interested. Attached is a Google interest form for making this meeting a reality. If you could please share this - it would be very helpful. Thank you!

Looking for a Meeting List Person
12.13.23
We're looking for a Meeting List Chair for 2024 & 2025.
We have a list of local meetings in the Los Angeles area. We call it our Meeting List. There's a volunteer who maintains the list. When meetings have a change in address, Zoom info or any of their other information changes, they email the Meeting List Chair. The Chair makes the paper Meeting List and they send updates to the webmaster for the online Meeting List. When they receive emails from local meetings with changes, much of their job is spent corresponding with the meeting be sure the changes are correct and that all the info needed is included. This might take a bit of back and forth. The Chair can also ask for more volunteers to have a small committee of people to help with the job.
The Chair also usually attends the hybrid monthly Los Angeles Intergroup Community Business Meeting to share how their committee is doing. If you want to take on the role of this trusted servant, but can't or don't want to attend the community meeting, you can email a monthly report to the group (It can be as short as one sentence).
The position is usually 2 years, but it can be one year or you can choose to leave at any point for self-care.
The current Meeting List Chair will be finished with their service at the end of December 2023. They are happy to train and be of support to the next Chair during January 2024. More details of the job here. If you're interested in being Meeting List Chair or if you have questions about it, please email info@lacoda.org or come to the next hybrid monthly meeting the 2nd Saturday of the month 9-10:45am to ask in-person. Thanks for reading this!

Being of Service
Service can bring us out of isolation and be a place to practice staying in touch with ourselves while interacting with others. Holding boundaries and not taking service positions is as much a part of our recovery as taking them if we feel called. We practice belonging and taking up space without earning our place.
Inverted Pyramid
CoDA's service structure is an inverted pyramid to remind us that the highest level of service is our own recovery, that our individual voices and votes are valuable, that we are enough. The pyramid begins in:
our meetings (local),
moves down to our Intergroup (county area- Los Angeles),
continues through our Voting Entity (regional- Southern California)
and reaches CoDA (international).
Different areas of the country and world may use different terms and define them differently.
Intergroup
LA CoDA Intergroup is made up of members around the Los Angeles area that come together to make and share resources to support local meetings. Intergroup has no power over meetings but is here to share experience if meetings have a question. For more info, visit the Intergroup page.
Committees
The Intergroup committees that make local meeting resources meet monthly or on an as-needed basis. Committees can be joined or left at any time. Members can also agree to do one task and be done. For example, someone on the Events committee could help with one event a year, but not other events.
Committee Chairs run their committee's meetings and attend the monthly intergroup Zoom meeting on the second Saturday of each month from 9-10:45 am. If they can't attend, they share their committee's progress by emailing their report instead.
Below are committees looking for members and/or committee chairs. Sometimes a few CoDA fellows want to join simultaneously to work with people they know and that is welcome too.
Events
(open Chair position)
Creates events to support individual recovery and increase community fellowship. Supports events hosted by members who may not be on the Events committee if the event follows the 12 Steps & Traditions. 13th Stepping
2.16.22
“In recovery, manipulating another into a relationship, be it emotional, financial, or sexual, violates the core values and Twelve Traditions of our program. “Thirteenth Stepping” is a term used to describe this kind of unhealthy relationship. Thirteenth-stepping is harmful to both people involved and to the overall health of a meeting. Newcomers may be especially vulnerable.
...One possible action a group might take is to amend the meeting format to include a definition of thirteenth stepping, perhaps using wording from the preceding paragraph.” (Healthy Meetings Matter, page 12) [Examples below]
What are your thoughts on this topic? Have you experienced 13 stepping? Have you tried addressing it in your meeting? Please share your feedback at the Fellowship Feedback Forum:
Share your experience of 13th stepping in a safe place in onlinecoda.net ‘s message forum titled “Fellowship Feedback Forum” - click here for the link: 13th Stepping

13 Stepping Script Clauses
from Los Angeles CoDA
We've added a page to LACoDA.org that offers three examples of text about 13th Stepping that can be added to a meeting script. Two examples were written by meetings in the LA area and one is from Washington State CoDA. Meetings don't need to add something like this to their script, but if they want to, meetings can use the group conscience process to vote to add one of these to their script, modify them, or create their own. We share them here as an optional resource for meetings that might need support in this area.
The page can be found under Meeting Format Clauses on the Meeting Resources page. Direct link: https://sites.google.com/view/lacoda/meetings/meeting-resources/13th-step-clauses
Virtual Office Group Conscience Meeting
Posted 8.30.22The Virtual Office committee meets on the first Monday of the month 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm PST on the phone. All LA CoDA members with a willingness to be of service are welcome to join the committee.
Part of this committee's service is to update the LACoDA.org website. No website-building experience is needed to participate. To attend the meeting or ask questions, contact virtualoffice@lacoda.org. More info can also be found on the Virtual Office page.
VIRTUAL OFFICE COMMITTEE
We're looking for a member to:
be Vice Chair by attending the monthly committee meeting and taking minutes.
Also, we're looking for a webmaster. The service position can be done by a few people or one person. We can teach you how to do this:
Upload the Intergroup (monthly business meeting) minutes to Minutes and Treasury page.
Post the Intergroup agenda link to the Minutes and Treasury page before the Intergroup meeting.
Post events and add them to the Events Archive page after their completion.
Receive meeting updates from the Meeting List committee and update the website with the updates.
Update the News page regularly.
A bit about us: Some 12-Step Fellowships have a central office in their towns. The office has literature people can buy and is a hub for their local intergroup service. Because CoDA is smaller, we don't currently have funds to rent an office in L.A. or the service volunteers to run an office. Instead, the Virtual Office committee is our hub. Our Virtual Office job description is to work in tandem with many of the other intergroup committees. They do their service, then give us what they made and we post it on LACoDA.org. Plus we maintain the two mailing list databases, send out monthly emails, and more. Here is our full description.
The Southern California Survey is Here
Each year CoDA conducts a World Wide business meeting, also known as the CoDA Service Conference (CSC). This year the conference will be held Face to Face in Rapid City, South Dakota and as a Zoom Virtual Meeting (Hybrid) from Monday, August 22 - Thursday, August 25, 2022 .
As your delegates (Linnea M., Sharon A, and Vanessa CF) we would like to represent your preferences, so we are inviting you to complete the survey below, which contains the summary of the motions to be discussed and presented during the conference.
If you have any questions or suggestions, please email us at socalcodadel@gmail.com. We are grateful for your service and for allowing us to represent your votes as the Southern California Voting Entity!
2022 CoDA Service Conference loves your vote
7.9.22The CoDA International business meeting begins on August 21st. If it resonates to do so, please read the motions being voted on. You get to vote on them and your voice and vote are valuable to CoDA. For more information, click below.

Group Conscience Meeting
Updated 4.17.22 Posted 2.15.22
Anyone who attends LA CoDA meetings and is willing to be of service is welcome to participate or attend to check it out.
H&i committee members bring CoDA meetings and panels to people in hospitals and institutions, such as schools, detox centers, and recovery houses.
H&i responds to people who contact Los Angeles CoDA requesting a regular CoDA meeting or one-time CoDA panel be hosted at their facility. Panels are when a few members share their experience of being in CoDA and participate in a Q&A.
Important note- If you're interested in reaching out to hospitals and institutions, that falls under the Outreach committee, where H&i only responds to those who contact us.
More H&i info on the LACoDA.org website here.
A bit of history on H&i
Before the pandemic, Los Angeles CoDA had two H&i meetings, one at a detox center in West Hollywood and one at a sober living house in Torrance. Both meetings were held monthly and brought in a speaker to share their experience, strength, and hope. There was also a long-standing H&i CoDA meeting at a women's center.
In 2019, Rose City High School held a Health Fair, bringing in people from many different 12-step fellowships to share with the high schoolers about the program they were representing. Los Angeles CoDA had a representative and donated a Co-Dependents Anonymous blue book to their high school library.
A bit of current H&i news
Los Angeles CoDA hasn't had an H&i committee chair or committee members during the pandemic and someone just stepped up at the monthly Intergroup meeting to be the new chair. Thank you! We look forward to seeing who is also resonating with H&i and what becomes of it all.
Next few meetings are below. For the Zoom link, contact Sharon at h-i@lacoda.org

Being of Service
There are many ways to be of service in CoDA. Attending a meeting and listening or sharing is a way to be of service to oneself and others. More examples of service are: reading The 12 Promises or 12 Steps, leading a meeting by reading the meeting script, taking a service position like Literature Person or Secretary, or sharing one's voice and vote during a group conscience at a business meeting.
Service can bring us out of isolation and be a place to practice staying in touch with ourselves while using CoDA tools and interacting with others. Holding boundaries and not taking service positions is as much a part of our recovery as taking them if we feel called. We practice belonging and taking up space without earning our place.
If it resonates with us along our journey, we can be of service in different regions: our home meeting, L.A., Southern California or World CoDA. The local, regional and international levels of CoDA create resources to support codependents in their recovery like new CoDA literature, events, a list of available meeting speakers, websites, phone lines, free pamphlets, meetings at detox centers, conferences and more.
Inverted Pyramid
CoDA's service structure is an inverted pyramid to remind us that the highest level of service is our own recovery, that our individual voices and votes are valuable, that we are enough. The pyramid begins in our (local) meetings, moves down to our (county area- Los Angeles) Intergroup, continues through our (regional- Southern California) Voting Entity and reaches (international) CoDA. Different areas of the country and world may use different terms and define them differently.
Intergroup
LA CoDA Intergroup is made up of members around the area that come together to make and share resources to support local meetings. Intergroup has no power over meetings but is here to support and share experience if meetings have a question.
Intergroup committees meet at different times and committee members don't need to attend every committee meeting. Anyone can join or leave a committee at any time. The chair of the committee needs to email a monthly report or attend the monthly intergroup meetings held on Zoom the second Saturday of each month from 9-10:45 am to share their committee's progress.
Committee members can also agree to only do one small task and be done. For example, someone on the Virtual Office committee could post the intergroup minutes on the website once a month. Or someone on the Events committee could help with one event a year, but not the other events. Members can choose how involved to be based on what is healthy for them.
Another way to be of service at intergroup is to be a home meeting's elected Group Service Rep (GSR). GSR's attend the monthly intergroup meeting and take CoDA information and resources back to their meetings. GSR usually serve for 2 years, but each home meeting can vote to decide the length of their GSR's term.
For more intergroup info, visit LACoDA.org's Intergroup page: https://sites.google.com/view/lacoda/intergroup.

Happy Birthday CoDA!

Happy 35th Birthday, CoDA!
The very first CoDA meeting took place in Phoenix on October 22, 1986. It's amazing that it's been 35 years! Many of us are forever grateful to [our] Higher Power for that gift. It's also been an incredible gift to be able to watch CoDA grow for so many years. Please join us in celebrating this miraculous birthday.
Below are links to two documents. The first document is a letter written by our Founders... The second is 4 pages from the first issue of the original CoDA Newsletter, the Bear Facts. We hope you all enjoy reading these!

The 2021 CoDA Service Conference Motions Are Out
May 23, 2021
In the same way that meetings can have a business meeting to address potential changes in the meeting by discussing motions, checking in with Higher Power, and voting together, International CoDA also hosts an annual business meeting called the CoDA Service Conference (CSC).
Below are the motions that will be addressed at CSC 2021. Los Angeles CoDA members will each get to send their vote to their Southern California CoDA (SoCal CoDA) delegates via a poll that will be sent out at a later date. The SoCal delegates will carry our region's majority vote to International CoDA.
Some of the motions have updated or new literature that can take time to review. For more info on CSC and International CoDA, visit our World CoDA page. Email from CoDA.org sent 5/18/21:
"You can download a zip file of all the CoDA Service Conference (CSC) motions; and the Voting Entity Issues (VEI) that we've received. There may be some revised motions for the next 10 days.
To download all motions in a zip file, please go to: https://www.codependents.org/2021_Motions.zip. Please right-click on the link and select "save as".
Or if you prefer to download each motion individually, please go here: https://coda.org/delegate-package-2021/ The motions start about 1/2 way down the page.
There may be new Voting Entity Issues (VEI) through July 25th. There will also be yearly board motions added & there may be revisions to some motions. We will keep you informed.
If your CoDA intergroup or CoDA State/Country organization wishes to submit a Voting Entity Issue (VEI), the forms and instructions are here: https://coda.org/wp-content/uploads/Motion-VEIForm2021.docx
If you'd like your VEI to be included in the delegate packet, the due date for VEI's is June 27th. Please email the completed form to both vei@coda.org & submitcsc@coda.org
We ask that both delegates & fellowship members review the motions & form a group conscience as to how you would like your delegates to vote in behalf of the fellowship in your Voting Entity. There will be much more to come soon."

To get the most accurate vote, we'd love to hear from you. Section added 8/18/20
Making business meeting motions and voting can be a practice that uses recovery tools, some of which may include:
equality
worthiness
being clear and direct
asking
clarity about our wants and needs
sharing feelings
having the "courage to change the things we can"
feeling safe being a dissenting voice
trust
motion = movement = action = can be a form of contrary action
finding connection with a loving Higher Power through the group conscience process
Register
CoDA members are welcome to observe the conference for free, but must register by Sun Aug 16th.
Who can attend?
"Anyone that would like to observe the CSC process is welcome... [The only people who get to speak are Delegates and Board members.] A delegate is an individual in the fellowship who is elected by their Voting Entity to represent its wishes at the CSC." - from CoDA World, More info here
What is a Voting Entity?
A Voting Entity is a group of members who represent CoDA in an area of the country or world. Ours is Southern California CoDA. Motions presented by a Voting Entity are called Voting Entity Issues. Here are the Guidelines For Presenting Motions to CSC via your Voting Entity.
What is being voted on?
The 24 motions below will be voted on at the conference. They affect CoDA as a whole.

CODA PREAMBLE
CODA PREAMBLE
Arizona VEI 1Motion Name: Update the CoDA Preamble with one change to its first sentence.
Motion/Issue: A move to make our Preamble more inclusive in its language. The suggestion is a change in the first line by replacing the language stating “men and women” with the word “people.”
Current wording: Co-Dependents Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women whose common purpose is to develop healthy relationships.
The suggested change is: Co-Dependents Anonymous is a fellowship of people whose common purpose is to develop healthy relationships.
Remarks: CoDA has always been an inclusive Fellowship, this continues our striving in that regard.
2021 SERVICE CAMPAIGN
SERVICE CAMPAIGN
Ad Hoc Committee Motion 2Motion/Issue: We move that the CoDA Service Conference declare 2021 the year of service to the Fellowship. We ask that every CoDA meeting, every standing committee, and the CoDA board, all mount a campaign emphasizing service as a basic part of recovery.
Intent, background, other pertinent information: Service is foundational alongside Recovery and Unity. The importance of Service unfortunately may have slipped through the cracks in the history and culture of CoDA. This is a great loss to the Fellowship.
Remarks: This could be encouraged in individual sharing, in new and revised literature, on the website, in email list messages, and in Co-NNections. Below is one example of a service piece a group has included on their literature table:
CoDA Service
10 CoDA Community Committee Group Rep (Rep)
Share the message with other codependents
Be a shining example of what the program can do
9 Sponsor another CoDA member
8 Participate in a Step Study
7 Take the role of Literature person
6 Serve as Secretary or Treasurer
5 Lead a meeting
4 Share at a meeting
3 Read at the meeting
2 Help set up/tear down a meeting

TRADITION ELEVEN +
TRADITION ELEVEN
Arizona VEI 4Motion: Update Tradition Eleven to reflect the current modes of communication.
Current wording: 11. Our public relations policy is based on attraction rather than promotion; we need always maintain personal anonymity at the level of press, radio, and films.
We propose this wording: Our public relations policy is based on attraction rather than promotion; we need always maintain personal anonymity at the level of all public forms of media.
Intent, background, other pertinent information: Tradition Eleven does not reflect the current forms of communication.
S E C O N D M O T I O N | S A M E S U B J E C T
TRADITION ELEVEN
Service Structure Committee (SSC) Motion 2Motion Name: Add “and all other public forms of media” in Tradition 11
Motion/Issue: To replace the words “at the level of press, radio, and films” in Tradition 11 with “at the level of all public forms of media”.
The current Tradition reads:
Our public relations policy is based on attraction rather than promotion; we need always maintain personal anonymity at the level of press, radio, and films.
The modified Tradition will read:
Our public relations policy is based on attraction rather than promotion; we need always maintain personal anonymity at the level of all public forms of media.
Intent, background, other pertinent information: To stay current with new technology this motion is intended to clarify that all public forms of media are included where we need to always maintain personal anonymity.
This motion was originally submitted last year as a Voting Entity Issue by Florida and then as a motion by SSC at CSC 2019. Although it received a majority vote, the CoDA Board chose not to implement it because they believed the ByLaws prevented its implementation. Board Motion 3 this year seeks to change that which, if passed, will make this motion implementable either this year or next.
This motion was originally submitted requesting the addition of “and all other public forms of media” at the end. Arizona submitted a Voting Entity Issue (VEI) this year suggesting the shorter version as currently submitted in this motion. SSC reviewed the VEI and decided that we prefer the shorter and all inclusive version suggested by Arizona.
12 SERVICE CONCEPTS BOOKLET
NEW LITERATURE: SERVICE CONCEPTS BOOKLET
Canada VEI 1VE Issue Name: Service Concepts Booklet
Motion/Issue: That the digital version (click to read) of the Canadian new piece of literature called – CoDA’s Twelve Service Concepts “The Service Concepts, Alive & Strong!” be accepted as CoDA Endorsed Literature and be made available to the Fellowship as a service piece in digital form, thus permitting trusted servants to use in their service work. CoDA Canada is currently ready to publish this booklet as a piece of Canadian literature in printed (hard copy) format.
Intent, background, other pertinent information: The booklet can be used by individual members seeking to deepen their understanding of the Service Concepts and how service translates into more recovery. The Concepts may be a source of study between sponsors and their sponsees and are another recovery tool for workshops and regular meetings.
Remarks: The following Introductory Message taken from the booklet, found on the next page, provides greater understanding of the purpose of the booklet:
Introductory Message
CoDA is a spiritual program with elements of spirituality interwoven throughout its code of principles and guidelines (Steps, Traditions, Promises, and Service Concepts). Spirituality is found in healthy groups and healthy sponsor-sponsee relationships, and it is found in healthy recovery. It is the glue that unifies the entire Fellowship to work together for the common welfare of all its members. CoDA promotes its spiritual principles and guidelines at all levels of the CoDA structure, including our service work, which is guided by the Twelve Service Concepts.
The Twelve Service Concepts may be underappreciated. One purpose of this booklet is to provide a different perspective on the significance of these principles in personal recovery as well as service work. They are another set of tools, so to speak, that we can “practise in all our affairs.” This booklet will hopefully convey how CoDA’s Twelve Steps, Twelve Traditions, and Twelve Concepts come together to help us experience the Twelve Promises, one day at a time. We will learn that the Service Concepts provide principles and guidelines that codependents can apply in their service work while considering “attraction rather than promotion.” It can be added that the Concepts provide a specific application of the principles found in our Traditions. These Service Concepts are tools that we can put into practice in our recovery work.
Together with the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions, the Service Concepts open up another level of spiritual connection that codependents can experience with one another and with the Fellowship as a whole. They are a source of spiritual guidance for all members of CoDA, and not solely for those in service work. The Service Concepts do serve as a framework providing trusted servants with direction and making them accountable for the work they do, like a spiritual lighthouse shining its light outward.
The Service Concepts are the next level in our recovery, as our Step Twelve states; this program of ours teaches us how to “practise these principles in all our affairs.” Furthermore, Tradition 3 encourages us, as codependents, to learn about how to build healthy relationships in our work with others. The founding fathers of the 12-step program model discovered service to be a crucial component in their recovery. As codependents in a 12-step program, we move forward in our explorations, learning how the Service Concepts can aid in our continued transformation towards healthier lives and more loving relationships.
Through principles and guidelines, there is a spiritual interaction between the members, especially in the group conscience decision-making process that is used in service work. No matter where our HP leads us in our daily lives—CoDA’s SERVICE CONCEPTS MATTER IN ALL OUR AFFAIRS!
Some of the acronyms that appear in this document are:
HP = Higher Power
FSM = Fellowship Service Manual
GC = Group Conscience
GSR = Group Service Representative
CSC = CoDA Service Conference
The format used for the following Service Concepts recovery work presents each of the Twelve Service Concepts along with an explanation of their significance. At the end of each Service Concept is a Summary of the Service Concept, including a major topic, the essence of the message, and each Concept’s Spiritual Principles within. Afterward, there is a list of questions for personal contemplation and/or group discussion.

2020 Southern California Co-Dependents Anonymous Conference
Update March 28, 2020: The Southern California CoDA Conference Committee is exploring a virtual format for 2020 and looking for members interested in creating a virtual conference. Interested? More info here.
Los Angeles CoDA is hosting the 2020 SoCal CoDA Conference. Members from Desert CoDA, The Valley CoDA Community, CoDA en Espanol, Orange County CoDA, San Diego CoDA and other Southern California CoDA meetings will come together in LA for recovery. There will be workshops, speakers, activities, meetings and fellowship.
CALL FOR SERVICE
The SoCal Conference Chair is looking for committee members to help create a conference that is chock-full of recovery and to break new ground in making the conference more accessible.
The goal for the committee is to make the creation of the conference a positive, growth-filled experience using the group conscience process.
It is a group effort: members of all Southern California Intergroups are welcome to participate. The committee will be making use of conference calling and web-based collaboration tools.
Service sometimes expands our areas of comfort. It can be an excellent way to grow in recovery and carry the message to the Codependent who still suffers. Everyone is welcome to give support in any capacity: Leadership, planning, subcommittee members, workshop or special session facilitators, day-of service and more. Your contribution is valued and appreciated!
Come experience the Twelve Traditions at work, practice healthy communication, and enjoy fellowship with other codependents!
