Short Summary of the book:
This is the second book where we follow Alaric and his friends. Again, there are surprises abound and lots of action and suspense. When Alaric, Lucy and Laurence visited The Giant’s Causeway in the first book, they caused the Raven’s Veil to tear. Now Alaric can hear his father speak to him. What dangers and surprises lie in wait for the friends in this book?

Any further books in the series? Any more planned by this author?
This is the second book I’ve read by this author and it follows on from the first in the series well.
What books could this be compared to and why?
Although this book has elements of Harry Potter and Percy Jackson, it is not quite in the same category. It’s a good book, though, and enjoyable enough.

Book Description by Author:
Alaric Swift has been hearing strange voices all summer. But this is just the start.
As Alaric starts his second year at Oakwood School for Nephilim, tensions rise on Harramore, and a mysterious sickness spreads around campus. Gnomes, cyclops, students—no one is safe. Then, delving deeper, Alaric and his friends discover this may not be a disease at all, but something far more dangerous.
Now, Alaric must again embark on a perilous adventure to save Harramore from the clutches of evil. And as dark secrets are revealed about the island, he and his friends will need their powers more than ever. Because should they fail, they may just lose themselves.
‘The Raven’s Veil’ is the gripping second instalment of The Miracle Prince series, which fans of Harry Potter and Percy Jackson are bound to love.
