John 1:1-14
The Word is Full of Grace and Truth
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome[a] it.
6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe.8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.
9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 14:6-7
Jesus is the Truth
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
John 17:15-19
God's Word is Truth
15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17 Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. 19 For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.
Hebrews 13:8
Jesus is the Same Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow
8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
John 4:24
God is Spirit
24 God is spirit. So the people who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
Truth is personal...And yet at the same time, Truth is Spiritual...If God's Word is truly the Truth, and God is Spirit, then Truth takes on both Personal and Spiritual components,
Truth is what one believes in...So some, if not many of our truths are here today, and gone tomorrow as we age and mature...But Truth cannot be something that is here today and gone tomorrow...Truth is not a one time or two time encounter of facts, but Truth is always the Truth...Truth is Absolute...Truth is Truth, whether it be today, tomorrow and forever...
According to The Gospel According to John, Truth is definite...Truth is everlasting...Truth is with God and Truth has been with us from the beginning...Creation was mad by and through the Truth...Truth is the Logos and God's Word...Truth is full of Grace...
So, if one believes that Truth is truly personal and is a Person, then the Truth of God's Word is His Son...Then Truth is more than this one time encounter and is instead a lifetime of personally shared and regular experiences with the One who calls Himself Truth...And with the help of His Counterpart, the Holy Spirit, He is guiding us always to the Truth, the Way, in our Lives...
And when we discover that Truth is the Way to lead our lives, then we are reborn in a Way that has led us to the Absolute Truth...We see that Truth has our Personal beliefs as well as our Spiritual beliefs...And we discover that this Truth has a Personal Name...And this Personal Name is Jesus...
