John 15:9-11
Joy That Maybe Complete
9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.
John 4:24
God is Spirit
24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.
Hebrews 6:19-20
Hope is the Anchor to My Soul
19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, 20 where our forerunner, Jesus, has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.
Jesus tells us that His Father has LOVED Him, and so has He LOVED His Disciples...His Disciples should remain in His LOVE...If we keep His commands, we will remain in His LOVE, just as He has kept His Father’s commands and has remained and fulfilled in His LOVE...Jesus tells His Disciples these things so that His joy may be in us and that our joy may be complete....Jesus relates His joy to our joy...Joy is found in Jesus...Knowing where to look for joy is an important thing in finding joy...And joy is found in Him...He is the Source of Joy..
Joy is different than happiness and pleasure...Joy to Jesus meant doing His Father's will...Joy to Jesus meant LOVING and knowing His Father, the One true God, our Creator...And being our Creator, He has been with all people, all of us, from the beginning of our times of our births and up to our deaths and beyond...God is not only the Author of Life, but also the Author of Eternal Life and knows everyone completely...He knows what it takes for us to be joyous...He knows us and He LOVES us...And hearing these things should bring us joy, just as it brings Jesus joy that His Father is the One who knows all things...There is nothing beyond His ability...Joy to Jesus meant following His Father completely and that made Him complete...
There are different kinds of joy, I think...Jesus, while on earth in His ministry, each and everyday was teaching us things about God...That is what He did, and that gave Him joy...His life was completely centered around His Father...His life's foundation was and is about LOVING and knowing His Father...Jesus wants our joy and His Disciple's joy to continue and remain and be fulfilled in Him and His teachings...Jesus wants us to know and understand His Father, and to love Him...This joy is a Spiritual joy...This joy is a hope that anchors the soul...There is this contentment knowing that God is there for you and this is a joy...There is no greater joy...
