"MY CONDUCIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT"
By: Jennifer R. Dalwag
As a future educator, I have imagined what my classroom and environment will look like in the future. But then, when I entered the classroom of my resource teacher, I told myself that this is an ideal conducive Learning environment. I want my classroom to be well-ventilated, and well-lit, the designs should be pleasing to the eyes, and the environment should be friendly, comfortable, and safe. The display walls must be motivated at some point and the chairs, tables, and other furniture should be well-arranged.
A spacious classroom environment can help learners to learn more and focus because there are some kinds of students they want more space and want to be alone which is why there is a need for us to give them space. The classroom must be clean at all times, welcoming, and accommodating so that learners will not feel intimidated when entering the classroom. Moreover, it should be free from harm, free from pollution. The classroom should at least have a resource that could cater to the needs of the learners. As much as possible, it should be free from noise and distraction.
Lastly, as time passes by, students are also getting creative and teachers sometimes give them activities to showcase their creative skills. Because of that, there are output that is amazing and you can use that as decoration in your classroom. I can also put some plants inside the classroom to add a more positive atmosphere. To complete my conducive learning environment, I can put a whiteboard if there's an announcement, motivational quotes, and daily reminders as well as integrate ICT tools inside the classroom.
