ACTION RESEARCH PROPOSAL
Proposed Title: Ways to enhance utilizing Web-conferencing App in conducting an online class.
I. Context and Rationale Study Background
Web-conferencing application is software that allows two or more people to emulate a person-to-person meeting over the internet using real-time multi-directional video and audio streaming. Web-conferencing software is a great way for teachers to stay connected with students when physically seeing them is not an option. It can keep students engaged and help them through social isolation.
Utilizing video conferencing is a great approach to talk to students about their progress, objectives, concerns, and questions. You can create a calendar of open timeslots for students to sign up for brief 5-minute conference calls by creating a schedule of accessible time slots online. These optional video conferencing sessions available to students give them a way to connect with you and get the support they may need.
Great virtual meetings don't just happen by accident, despite the fact that they do have a lot to offer hybrid and remote teams. Challenges can arise during virtual meetings, but they are frequently available and sufficient ahead of time. These are the common technical problems with virtual meetings; Bad connection. echo, poor sound quality, system incompatibility, video slows or call, and many more.
The researcher wants to explore ways to enhance in utilizing the web-conferencing app in conducting an online class.
REFLECTION
Writing an action research plan is not an easy task. I struggled with how to organize, what to put, and what things needs to be included in my study. However, despite all the obstacles, I have to think positively so that I can be able to continue and finish everything. To be a critical thinker, determined, and optimistic were the knowledge, attitude, and skills that helped me accomplish it. Without all of these, I don't think I can be able to pursue this study because this is my first time writing an action research plan and I really find it difficult considering the fact that you have to think critically in order to make a good plan.
As a future teacher, there are still a lot of things that I need to learn and develop in myself to be a skilled teacher-researcher. Every day a lot of problems exist that need to be solved and I have to make this an inspiration to continue doing action research to give solutions to the existing problem.
