REFLECTION
During the past assessments I have been through, I can say that assessments occasionally do not match with what the learner taught or the learning objectives, but this is rare. I believe that, situations like that arise because certain lessons are quite broad, making it challenging for the teacher to link with the learning outcomes.
Because of this, I wasn't able to get a good grade but it was okay since it's part of my journey and experience. It causes me confusion as a learner about how to respond or accomplished the desired learning objective. As a result, as a prospective teacher, this observation allows me to make decisions about what I should do in my class. Every assessment task needs to be in line with the objectives for learning, I've learned. Before using any instructional resources, always check the learning objectives and outcomes to ensure quality learning.
The possible consequence of a teacher's assessment tasks when it is not aligned with the learning outcome is it would be hard for a student to answer the task or it will be difficult to test how far the learners learned. Yes, this can really affect the assessment results because obviously, it was not aligned and the learners might find it confusing.
To meet the learning objectives and to have a well-organized lesson, the assessment tasks should be in line with the learning outcomes. This can only be done if the assessment learning process is likewise in line with the intended learning outcomes. Aside from that, what you have taught to them as a teacher, the task should also connect to the learning outcomes so that it would be easy to measure if the students really do understand the topic.
