All bodies are worth celebrating, no matter their ability, disability, shape, size, hair, or skin color.
Lay down in a comfortable position. We are going to explore how we might be feeling in our first activity today: a body scan.
A body scan is when you mentally scan your body for different feelings and sensations.
Our goal is to listen closely to what our bodies are telling us.

Our body gives us clues to how we're feeling - an upset stomach may mean we're nervous, or a fast-beating heart may be a sign that we are getting excited.
Turn and talk with a partner.

It's important to listen to our bodies and feel our feelings. -ALL OF THEM! We want you to know that ALL emotions are important to feel, and there are no bad emotions! Instead, we can think of emotions as either comfortable or uncomfortable. Let's try it out.

"We've spent some time thinking about which emotions make us feel comfortable and uncomfortable. Now, let's think of times we felt these emotions.
Each of you will get an emotion card.
With your partner, you will discuss when you felt this way and if it was comfortable or uncomfortable.
For example: Excited - "One time I was excited was when my birthday was coming up, and my friends were coming to the party..... Excitement is a comfortable feeling for me. I know this because I smile and have lots of energy when I am excited.
