Can anyone name all the GOTR names?
Last week's goal: Feel your Feelings
Check in with your body..... your head, and your heart. shoulders, stomach, and other body parts. What is your body telling you?
Today, we will learn about our "I feel" tool to help us share uncomfortable and comfortable emotions and ask for what we need. What are some ways that you share your emotions?
"I feel" - This lets the other person know exactly how you feel. For example, "I feel grateful" or " I feel sad."
"Because" - This tells the person the exact situation that is making you feel this way or WHY you feel this way. For example, "Because you helped me with my homework," or "Because you didn't listen to my ideas."
"I would like" - This explains what you would like to happen to address the situation or feeling. For example, "I would like you to keep helping me" or "I would like you to give me a chance to share my ideas."
Now you are going to play a game to help us remember the parts of the "I feel" tool.
In this activity,
I will place you in pairs.
I will hand you an emotion.
You and your partner will provide:
A time when one of you felt this emotion.
How would you share your feelings? (I feel..)
How would you explain why you felt this way? (Because..)
What could resolve the situation? (I would like..")

Turn to page 14 in your journal.
Today, we learned we can use the "I feel " tool to share our emotions and activate our Start Power. Find the emojis symbols in your journal and write or draw one thing you learned about sharing your emotions today.
Add your lap goal.
Put your journal away.
Put on your necklace.
Think about it
Once we know the emotions we are feeling, it is important to courageously share them with others and ask for what we need.
Girls on the run is so much fun!
