Last week's goal: Friendship
The power we have to choose and be a friend who helps others' Star Power shine!
What qualities do you look for in a friend?
How are you a good friend?
"Today we are learning one tool to help others' Star Power shine is to practice understanding from their Perspective.
Girls will stand in two lines facing each other.
Coach will walk down the line holding a picture
Once you see the picture, you will do a movement at your spot.
Movement List Ideas:
5 jacks
30 seconds of running arms
30 seconds of wacky dance moves
10 squats
15 Shooting Star Jumps
Each picture will have a new move.
When I say, GO! You will meet up with the person across from you and share what you saw.
Return to your place in line and we will repeat this process.
"Was there a right or wrong way to understand the pictures?
Why or Why not?
What does it mean to understand someone's perspective when you put yourself in their shoes or imagine what it is like to be them?
Today we are practicing perspective -talking"
In this activity we will learn how to be perspective detectives. We will practice putting ourselves in someone elses shoes to understand both sides of the story.
A teammate and the Coach will act out a skit.
You will listen to the skit
Take a moment to think about it
Once we answered the following questions for both sides, we are ready to solve the case!
Is this person's Star Power Activated or Covered in Clouds?
What would I think or feel inf I was in their shoes?
Think about it:
Today, we learned one tool we use is seeing a situation from a different perspective.
