Lady Wildcats take the win on the Lady Spartans!
On Tuesday, January 14th the Lady Wildcats took the win over Deerfield. The Lady Wildcats clinched their 3rd win in a row at home. Bri Bri Torres, a freshman, led the Lady Wildcats with the most points in the game, Camila Garcia followed close behind her. Today, Friday the 17th, the Wildcats travel to Boise City, Oklahoma to face off on their home floor for homecoming starting at 6:00 PM.
The Elkhart Wildcats fought hard the entire four quarters to come out with the win against
Deerfield. Senior Murray Houtz led the Wildcats to victory having 26 points, 3 steals and 2
rebounds. After 4 quarters of high intensity, the Wildcats won 73-65. Looking ahead, the
Wildcats head to Oklahoma to face the Boise City Wildcats on their home court for their
homecoming Friday the 17 th .

This week's Senior Spotlight focuses on Gabe Aranda. Gabe reflected on his high school years saying his favorite teacher through all of his years in high school is Ms. Frownfelter. His favorite class though is with Mr. Iman, the second semester CSI class. His favorite high school moment happened in shop when he was guarding Mr.Runkle while playing football in the shop. Mr. Runkle OBJ’D a football and fell into the trash can. He said, "After high school, I plan to move to Amarillo, go to barber school, and to get my CDL as a backup." When it comes to sports, baseball was his favorite sport he played in his high school athletic career. When asked which year was his favorite of high school, he said "my freshman year."
The Cat Chronicles reviews the films the Doric Theater will have available this weekend. It will show two movies January 17th and 18th. The first movie to be played will be "A Real Pain” about two cousins, David and Benji, who travel to Poland to pay tribute to their grandmother. Their adventure becomes complicated when old tensions resurface as they explore their family history. The second film that will be shown in theaters will be “Kraven the Hunter” which is about Kraven, a man who had a complex relationship with his father which led him to start a path to revenge, motivating him to become not only the best hunter in the world but also one of the most feared.
