This course has contributed significantly to a deeper understanding of translation as a critical and analytical process rather than simply a transfer of words between languages. Through the analysis and evaluation of different translation choices, a clearer understanding of translation techniques and their appropriate application has been developed. This knowledge has been especially valuable for my final translation project, as it has provided a stronger basis for identifying, justifying, and evaluating the decisions made throughout the overall process.
