Project 1: Note-taking SYMBOLS

Since I can remember, I have always liked to write. Unfortunately, living in a globalized world with constant technological development, it's difficult to maintain the practice because everything today is done digitally, so I take advantage of any opportunity I have to write.

Aside from being a very personal opinion, I believe that notes in general are very important and essential in most of the things we do, especially if we are talking about our work or academic assignments. Many times we rely on memory, but the mind often fails to retain a considerable amount of information at one moment. However, if one practices the habit of note-taking, they will always have a place to return to and review.

It was quite interesting to analyze common words and associate contexts and symbols with them since it's not something one does all the time, but thanks to this practice, I realized that sometimes we do it unintentionally to shorten any text we want to keep. Besides being interesting, I found it very useful for the tasks of people like us in this field who wish to grow in the world of interpretation and translation. It seems to me that it is one of the keys to maintaining constant learning.

Desde que tengo memoria siempre me ha gustado escribir. Lamentablemente viviendo en un mundo globalizado y en constante desarrollo tecnológico es difícil mantener la práctica debido a que todo hoy en día se hace de forma digital, por lo que cualquier oportunidad que tengo para escribir lo aprovecho.

Fuera de ser una opinión muy personal, considero que los apuntes en general son muy importantes y esenciales en la mayoría de las cosas que hacemos sobre todo si estamos hablando de nuestro trabajo o asignaciones académicas. Muchas veces se confía en la retentiva, pero la mente suele fallar al no poder retener una cantidad considerable de información en un solo momento. Sin embargo, si uno practica el hábito de la anotación, siempre tendrá un lugar adonde volver y revisar.

Fue bastante interesante analizar palabras comunes y asociar contextos y símbolos con ellas ya que no es algo que uno haga todo el tiempo, pero gracias a esta práctica me di cuenta de que a veces lo hacemos sin querer para acortar cualquier texto que deseamos conservar. Además de interesante me ha parecido de gran uso para las labores de las personas como nosotros en esta carrera que deseamos crecer en el mundo de la interpretación y traducción. Me parece que es una de las claves para mantener un aprendizaje constante.
