What is Consecutive Interpretation?
Consecutive Interpretation is a delayed, oral translation process where a speaker speaks a few sentences, then pauses while the interpreter translates them into another language. This can be done in person, over the phone, or via video conference. The interpreter listens attentively, captures the source message, and then translates it, accounting for the grammar and syntax of the foreign language, generating an interpretation into the target language.
¿Qué es Interpretación Consecutiva?
La interpretación consecutiva es un proceso de traducción oral diferido en el que un hablante dice unas pocas frases, luego hace una pausa mientras el intérprete las traduce a otro idioma. Esto se puede hacer en persona, por teléfono o por videoconferencia. El intérprete escucha atentamente, capta el mensaje original y luego lo traduce, teniendo en cuenta la gramática y la sintaxis del idioma extranjero, generando una interpretación en el idioma de destino.

I have come a long way with this learning and improvement journey, through the experience of interpreting videos from diverse topics for this Consecutive Interpretation ENG-SPA class. I'm grateful for the opportunity, as this adds up positively to my academic and professional goals. I can absolutely say that my vocabulary is now enhanced, as well as my listening skills.
