Kent's CAS Journey

Introduction

My CAS experiences are all based on my daily activity; therefore, it is not challenging for me to complete them. However, writing down the experiences and reflecting on them makes me become a better person.

Learning outcome 1: Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

Because there are not many opportunities to play, I have not participated in executing many tactics. On the court, I have learned the spirit and demeanor of an athlete. It is a misunderstanding. Therefore I have learned there should be no unnecessary conflicts due to momentary impulses and personal cognition of the incident. We must calmly understand the incident at the moment of the incident and then respond accordingly.

Learning outcome 2: Demonstrate that challenges have been undertaken, developing new skills in the process

Since our volunteer service is a shift system, there is an hour break between classes. During one of the breaks, my friend and I walked too far and didn't get back to the Panda Museum in time to change the shift. My friends also responsibly said that we would be twice as late as an apology, and they graciously agreed. In this experience, I also learned a lesson. Whenever I arrive at the agreed place early, I have done my responsibility.

Learning outcome 3: Demonstrate how to initiate and plan a CAS experience

In planning the itinerary, the most troublesome and difficult thing is to synthesize everyone's opinions and formulate a plan that satisfies everyone. Therefore, I also learned to deal with detailed data and unify and use effective and precise presentation methods to the participants. See, make them understand that the people planning the itinerary are not planning the final itinerary by choosing the participants' opinions at random.

Learning outcome 4: Show commitment to and perseverance in CAS experiences

After this experience of being a referee, I deeply realized that being a referee is not as simple as imagined, just like there are many mistakes in rehearsal, for example: forgetting the time or forgetting the next job, resulting in time delay, etc., but also because The meetings before and after the rehearsal and the practice at the moment of the trial made me not make any mistakes on the day of the sports meeting. Instead, I became more responsive to emergencies, just like the tug-of-war in the elementary school. Get them organized to finish the game somewhat.

Learning outcome 5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively

In this competition, the relationship between my teammates and me has become more mature because we often get together and practice together. This competition is a selection competition for a significant international e-sports event. Therefore, we are preparing for the competition and competition. The emotion of fighting with blood together at the moment is something that you can't feel in ordinary times. In addition, to the conflicts with my teammates in the game, I have learned a more mature attitude toward things. The most crucial aspect of teamwork is not only the cooperation in the game; the tacit understanding of teamwork is the team spirit formed by the results of a lot of practice.

Learning outcome 6: Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance

Because of the pandemic, if it is not necessary to go outside, avoid doing so. Therefore I began to search the internet for fitness methods that can continue to train without using fitness equipment and adjust the fitness plans I found to develop fitness that suits me. The first few days of my fitness program went very smoothly until the last day of the first week. I had a problem with my customized fitness program, and I couldn't keep up with it, so it took me two more days of fitness after finding the situation to make corrections. After the modification, I continued to execute the project smoothly and finally got the results I am satisfied with. 

Learning outcome 7: Recognize and consider the ethics of choices and actions

Conclusion

Throughout my CAS experiences, they have improved my outlook and my period as an IB DP student. I have made significant progress in basketball skills, helping others, compliance with commitments, collaboration with teammates, physical fitness, etc. Also, I appreciate having this opportunity to accomplish the goals that I have always wanted to do. From these meaningful experiences, my relationships with friends have become much more solid since we grew and learned together to achieve our more fabulous selves.
