LONG TERM DISABILITY

Employees are not automatically provided Disability insurance with Standard Insurance Company through OEBB. However employees may purchase Long Term Disability (LTD) coverage through OEBB with Standard Insurance Company.  The monthly payroll deduction will be your average monthly income multiplied by .00553.

SHORT TERM DISABILITY

Employees may purchase Short Term Disability (STD) with Todd Wells through American Fidelity.  Employees should carefully consider whether they need short term disability coverage if they have more than a 60 day sick leave balance remaining with the district.

LIFE AND ACCIDENTAL DEATH AND DISMEMBERMENT

Employees are automatically provided basic Life and basic Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) coverage of $10,000 at District Expense with Standard Insurance company through OEBB.  Employees may purchase the optional coverage listed below.  *Note, employees may only purchase optional life insurance when first eligible for coverage through the district.  Optional Accidental Death coverage is available at open enrollment.    


LONG TERM CARE - My Options

Unum Insurance Company - Enroll during OEBB open enrollment

The Oregon Educator's Benefit Board (OEBB) contracts with UNUM Insurance Company to provide Long Term Care Insurance to member districts. Long Term Care Coverage is available to all benefit eligible employees, participation is voluntary and at employee expense. Family members of employees are also eligible for long term care coverage.  Family coverage is medically underwritten.
