Insurance & Benefits
THE OREGON EDUCATORS BENEFIT BOARD (OEBB) administers insurance plans for most educational entities in the State of Oregon. The coverage term for our plans begin each year October 1st and ends September 30th. Open Enrollment begins August 15, 2024 and closes September 10, 2024. You will find the rates and plans available to our employees at one of the links below. Employee premiums are deducted from the payroll check in the month before coverage is effective, -i.e. your September paycheck will pay for October coverage.
INSURANCE ENROLLMENT INFORMATION INCLUDING PLAN OPTIONS AND COST
MID YEAR CHANGES
Changes to coverage may not be made outside of the Open Enrollment period unless an employee experiences a "Qualified Status Change". If you or your family experiences a qualifying event, you may be allowed to make limited changes to your plan selections mid-year. These events must be reported to the Benefits Department within 31 days. Please request a Mid-Year change form from the Benefits Department.

Public Employee's Retirement System-PERS/OPSRP (Redmond School District pays the employer and the employee contribution for qualifying employees.)
OMNI 403(b) Retirement Investments (OMNI is the company who arranges your pre-tax contributions after you open a 403(b) investment account.)
Oregon Savings Growth Plan (Options available to defer to a Roth 457(b) account and pay taxes now with tax-free withdrawals later during retirement.)
Canopy EAP Services (Up to 6 counseling visits per issue for all Redmond Employees and their families!)
