DISABILITY - My Options: 

Employees are not automatically provided Short Term Disability (STD) or Long Term Disability (LTD) insurance by the District. Employees may at their option purchase Short Term Disability (STD) or Long Term Disability (LTD) coverage through OEBB with Standard Insurance Company, through AFLAC, or through American Fidelity.  Employees should carefully consider whether they need short term disability coverage if they have more than a 90 day sick leave balance remaining with the district.

Unum Insurance Company - Enroll during OEBB open enrollment.

The Oregon Educator's Benefit Board (OEBB) contracts with UNUM Insurance Company to provide Long Term Care Insurance to member districts Long Term Care Coverage is available to all benefit eligible employees, participation is voluntary and at employee expense. Family members of employees are also eligible for long term care coverage.  Family coverage is medically underwritten.
