Wordclouds.com is a site where you can create word clouds. The service is free of charge. The site states it does not retain information and is private and secure to use. I will say, that I did accidentally click on an advertisement link on the site and accidentally downloaded malware. I was able to resolve the issue. I think. I do feel comfortable using this site in the future. I just need to be mindful of where I am clicking on the website.
I used this site to generate visual tools for my capstone survey results (see below). How to use this site is fairly straightforward. I input the qualitative survey responses to a Word document. From there, I uploaded it to the wordcloud.com site. The site generated images of words in the document listing the ones that appear more frequently in larger, bolder font in the center of the image. I was able to easily edit the image, removing filler words. I was able to save the images I created in pdf and jpg versions.
Within the site there are a variety of options to customize word clouds, including shapes, themes, and font size.
