Feedly is a tool that helps users consolidate and organize content from various websites, blogs, news sources, and social media platforms into one place. It allows you to stay updated on a variety of topics without having to visit each website individually. I already spent way too much time on it - it's actually very helpful and I will continue to use it after this class. Unfortunately, the free version doesn't offer much, so I think you would want to purchase the upgrade to make it really worth it.
Aggregates content from your favorite sources (news sites, blogs, journals)
Organizes content you follow into "feeds" by topic or interest. For example, the free version allows for 3 feeds, so I have a "Fun" feed, "Jesus" feed, and "Nursing" feed.
Lets you scan headlines quickly and read only what you think is important or interesting
Offers an AI tool for filtering and searching (because what doesn't have an AI tool these days). This helps you prioritize what you consider the most relevant or trusted info.
Helps you track trends or updates in your field without checking multiple sites
If you have a "Team Plan" (which costs money) it allows group members to collaborate and create a group feed - this could be fun or interesting in the academic setting!
