How many of you wish you had someone to remind you about meetings, help you stay organized, and make sure you don't miss important emails? Like... a personal assistant just for your work life?
Well, guess what? You already have one, and it is not a person. It's Outlook!
Seriously, Outlook can do way more than just send emails. It's like your behind the scenes helper keeping you on track.
Click on the arrows on each picture for simple instructions
Use folders to organize emails by topic or project
Flag important messages to follow up later
Set rules to auto-sort emails as they come in
Delete or archive what you don't need
Check at schedules times to avoid constant distractions
You can even unsend emails now!
Open Outlook , go to calendar
Click "New Event", add title for meeting
Invite attendees by typing their email
Choose date and time, add location or choose teams/zoom for a virtual meeting
Include any notes or an agenda in the body
Click "Send" to invite everyone
Create a new email, event or task
Look for the "Reminder" option, it is a bell icon
Choose date and time you want to be reminded
Save or send, you will get a pop up alert at the set time!
Open outlook and go to tasks or to do section
Click "New Task" or start typing in My day
Add title, due date and any notes
Set a reminder if you want a notification
Mark it complete when you are done!
Outlook is used in teaching in various ways such as :
Scheduling classes, office hours and meeting with students or colleagues using the calendar
Send and organize emails for announcements, assignments or feedback.
Set reminders for grading deadlines, studnet follow-ups or meetings
Create tasks and to do lists to stay on top of teaching responsibilities
