Wix is a website builder platform with tools to build, manage and grow online. You can build your own site from the ground up, or choose from a designer-made template, or create one with their AI website builder. It has built-in business solutions and marketing tools for promoting and running a business all from one platform.

I chose to build my professional website using the Wix platform. This was mainly because the company I work for (Endocrine Days) already chose Wix as their website platform before I started, so I learned how to use it for work.
My plan allows me to link the domain I purchased separately and host my website. The home page (image below) provides analytics about visitors, sales, and subscriptions. Subpages coordinate all the requirements for linking to a bank account to get paid, setting up a shop, running a blog, and connecting to other apps. Additional features underneath include communication management via website inbox (when people interact with your online communication or subscription forms) and marketing page (sending blast emails to your listserv, auto promote on social media, coupons to boost sales of products), deep dive into analytics, and setting up automations. I may start selling online diabetes continuing education courses through my website.
The main way my company Endo Days uses our Wix platform based website is to regularly perform marketing and then selling tickets to our continuing medical education conference (first image below). You can host events (either virtual or in person). The event manager is very detailed (second image below) where you can share details about your event, set up tickets and ticket prices (and optional coupons), settings (policies like cancellations, Covid-19, or any other you desire), promotion (blast email to all attendees), and view orders and guests. The guest tab is also how you can manually check people in when they show up at the event check-in (registration). There is a Wix Check-In app which I am able to grant access to subcontractors who help me at registration check in. This was they have access to the guest list and can check people in, but they do not have any other access to view or edit the event itself.
