Academic Integrity
Please see the UW Bothell General Catalog, the documents you signed upon admission to IAS, and these policy statements, Student Guide to Academic Integrity, for crucial information regarding academic integrity. The library also has useful resources for you to explore in this Lib Guide, Academic Integrity and Plagiarism Prevention Resources. You are responsible for knowing what constitutes a violation of the University of Washington Student Code regardless of your intent. Make sure you know how to properly cite any ideas or words you have taken from outside sources.
Work of any kind (including written, video, audio, performance, artistic, etc.) produced outside of this course may not be submitted for credit without first discussing it with your instructor. In most circumstances, work produced for one course may not be submitted for another course.
The University of Washington Student Conduct Code (WAC 478-121) defines prohibited academic and behavioral conduct and describes how the University holds students accountable as they pursue their academic goals. Allegations of misconduct by students may be referred to the appropriate campus office for investigation and resolution.

Diversity Center
The Diversity Center is open Monday-Friday from 8:30am-8pm. The mission is to advocate for and collaborate with others to support a safe and inclusive campus community where resources will promote equity and social justice for all students, advocate and support students through education, and foster student success to marginalized and underrepresented communities at the University. The Diversity Center is by students and for students. The Diversity Center is located in UW1-173 and also has a room in UW1-181 that students may use for the purpose of a Reflection Room. Access and Accommodations
Access and Accommodations: Your experience in this class is important. It is the policy and practice of the University of Washington to create inclusive and accessible learning environments consistent with federal and state law. Religious Accommodations Policy
Washington state law requires that UW develop a policy for accommodation of student absences or significant hardship due to reasons of faith or conscience, or for organized religious activities. The UW’s policy, including more information about how to request accommodation, is available at Religious Accommodations Policy. Accommodation must be requested within the first two weeks of this course using the Religious Accommodations Request.
Navigate
There are many registration deadlines in the Academic Calendar that come quickly during the quarter – for instance, a decision to drop a class. Part of your professor’s job is to communicate any concerns they have about your academic performance to your advisers. This is meant to better connect you with support resources before it is too late. UW Bothell utilizes the Navigate Student Success Management system to allow them to share feedback with your advisors as needed. In addition, your advisors may request that your professor submit a progress report on your behalf. These communications remain confidential between your professor and advisors but will provide your advisors with up-to-date information related to your assignments, academic progress, and participation. Using Navigate to alert advisors about your academic progress will both help advising staff to know when you might need support and will prompt your professor to reflect on your work and help them think about what they can do to help you succeed in your coursework and at UW Bothell.
Inclement Weather
When our area is experiencing inclement weather, please check if the campus is closed before traveling to campus. Information on suspension of operations will be made public and available through the media. Students can learn of campus operations status from the UW Bothell website or by calling the Campus Information Hotline 425.352.3333. You may also sign up with an alert system that will contact you via email or text message if classes are canceled. For more information on the alert process, please see uwb.edu/emergency. Class activities will be rescheduled as needed.
Gender Neutral Bathrooms
For students who prefer to use an inclusive, gender neutral bathroom while on campus, here is the campus information on Gender Neutral bathrooms located in the ARC (one on each level of the building and one in the lower level restroom room with shower), Discovery Hall (lower level, off of ramp connecting DISC to UW2), Beardslee Building (second floor, with shower), Husky Village.
Reflection Room Information (UW1-007)
This room is an open use space for all members of UWB who seek quiet time for meditation, reflection, and prayer while on campus. No reservations are needed to utilize this space. Please follow the guidelines listed in the room about the expectations of the space. For more information, access the Lib Guide for the campus Reflection Room.
Parenting Student Resources
Parenting Students are encouraged to look at the resources on the Parent Resources website. In addition, parenting students may apply for financial assistance through the Child Care Assistance Program.
Lactation stations can be found in UW1-128, UW2-336, Husky Hall 1419, and Beardslee Crossing 102 U. These stations are available from 8am-5pm and can be reserved online at uwb.edu/admin/services/lactation-station. Baby changing stations are located in Discovery Hall LL 050, UW2-L2 washrooms, UW1-L1 washrooms, LB1 and LB2-L1 washrooms. For up-to-date information, visit the Campus Lactation Stations website.

Title IX - Sex and Gender-based Violence and Harassment Policy
UW, through numerous policies, prohibits sex- and gender-based violence and harassment, and we expect students, faculty, and staff to act professionally and respectfully in all work, learning, and research environments.
For support, resources, and reporting options related to sex- and gender-based violence or harassment, visit UW Title IX’s webpage, specifically the Know Your Rights & Resources guide.
Please know that if you choose to disclose information to your professor about sex- or gender-based violence or harassment, they can connect you (or the person who experienced the conduct) with resources and individuals who can best provide support and options. Confidential advocates will not share information with others unless given express permission by the person who has experienced the harm or when required by law.
Privacy and/or anonymity
SafeCampus provides consultation and support and can connect you with additional resources if you want them. You can contact SafeCampus anonymously or share limited information when you call.
Please note that some senior leaders and other specified employees have been identified as “Officials Required to Report.” If an Official Required to Report learns of possible sex- or gender-based violence or harassment, they are required to call SafeCampus and report all the details they have in order to ensure that the person who experienced harm is offered support and reporting options.

Academic Success Coach
The academic success coach guides students through the many possible ways they can improve their learning and academic performance. Through 1:1 meetings, they assess the needs of a student and assist them in mapping a plan to achieve their short term and long-term academic goals. They share with students the multiple ways they can best utilize their strengths as scholars and as leaders
Campus Library
The campus library offers use of computers and printing, research support, online resources, study rooms, study areas, accessible peripherals checkout, etc. For technical support with Library-related technology, please call the Library Tech Desk at 425.352.3145 during business hours.

Disability Resources for Students (DRS) Office
The DRS office provides accommodations to foster an inclusive and equitable environment for all University of Washington students. All disability accommodation is determined through an interactive process that requires the engagement of both the student and DRS staff and starts with the student requesting accommodation. Meeting with DRS is particularly important to identify appropriate accommodations and/or auxiliary aids that can be implemented to create equal access in the areas where there are barriers caused by a disability. Once accommodation is established, they are applied proactively rather than retroactively, so planning ahead is particularly important. Contact DRS at uwbdrs@uw.edu.
Veteran & Military Community Center (VMCC)
UW Bothell is a Veteran Supportive Campus. The Veteran & Military Resources Office is committed to assisting our veterans as they transition from military service to academic and civilian life. Our Veteran & Military Community Center (VMCC) is located in UW 1, Room 011 on the Lower Level (UW1-011).

Writing and Communication Center (WaCC)
The WaCC supports the University of Washington Bothell's campus-wide culture of writing and communication by working with students of all abilities, at any stage of the reading, writing, or presentation process.
Quantitative Skills Center (QSC)
The QSC aims to help UW Bothell students develop skills and confidence with quantitative reasoning. They offer free drop-in tutoring, online tutoring and equipment check-out.

Counseling Center
The UWB Counseling Center offers short-term (up to 6 sessions) mental health counseling free of charge to UW Bothell and Cascadia College students registered in the current quarter. We provide mental health-related services to facilitate students’ adjustment to college and their personal and psychological growth located in UW1-080 or via phone at 425.352.3183.

Health and Wellness Resource Center (HaWRC)
This resource provides connections, financial coaching, and public benefits enrollment. Their services also include peer health education and sexual and relationship violence prevention and advocacy.
SafeCampus
Call SafeCampus at 206.685.7233 anytime – no matter where you work or study – to anonymously discuss safety and well-being concerns for yourself or others. SafeCampus’s team of caring professionals will provide individualized support, while discussing short- and long-term solutions and connecting you with additional resources when requested.
Victim Advocacy and Support
The University of Washington offers free advocacy and support for students and employees affected by sexual assault, relationship violence, domestic violence, stalking, sexual harassment, and other related experiences. NOTE: Email to the VAE is not a confidential form of communication, so avoid including personal information in your email. Instead, call or use email only to set up an appointment. This support office is located at the Health and Wellness Resource Center (HaWRC), in ARC-120, or via phone at 425.352.385.
The CARE Team
The UW Bothell Consultation, Assessment, Response and Education (CARE) Team is a confidential resource for the entire campus community when there are concerns about a student’s well-being. Their purpose is to provide proactive and supportive consultation, assessment, response, and education regarding students who may be at risk or in distress. Access via phone at 425. 352.SAFE (7233). For immediate crisis, you can also contact the Suicide and Crisis Hotline at 988.
Husky Pantry
Husky Pantry is a resource for all UW Bothell students who might be between paychecks or just need some extra resources to get through the week or month. It is a food pantry accessible by any student, housing resident or non-resident facing food insecurity. The Husky Pantry is located inside the Health and Wellness Resource Center (HaWRC) in ARC 120. Here the Husky Pantry is open during Center hours, Monday-Friday, 8am-8pm. The Center is closed Saturday and Sunday. To access, ask the Student Assistant at the front desk to open the pantry for your use. Use of the Husky Food Pantry is anonymous; we only record what food is taken.
