MS Visio is an available tool within MS 365, as well as a standalone app. Visio is used to create diagrams, flow charts, organizational charts. There are many templates to use, or you can create your own tool from a blank canvas. Data information can be shared between this tool and SharePoint, as well as Excel.
I discovered this tool as I was creating pictorial examples of the two theoretical frameworks I utilized in my capstone project, and how they relate to my project. I found the tool to be relatively easy to use. I created two flowcharts, one for Patricia Benner’s Novice to Expert learning model, and one for Mezirow’s Transformative learning model. I was able to copy the Visio flowcharts I created to my capstone paper Google Doc format was without difficulty. I plan to use this tool again. So far, I received positive feedback on the appearance of these two flowcharts.
Below the flowchart I created is a Viseo training video.
Here is an example of Mezirow's Transformative Learning Theory as it relates to my capstone project.
