95. Surah At-Tin (The Fig)

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
1. وَالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ
1. وَالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ
2. وَطُورِ سِينِينَ
2. وَطُورِ سِينِينَ
3. وَهَٰذَا الْبَلَدِ الْأَمِينِ
3. وَهَٰذَا الْبَلَدِ الْأَمِينِ
4. لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ فِي أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ
4. لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ فِي أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ
5. ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَاهُ أَسْفَلَ سَافِلِينَ
5. ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَاهُ أَسْفَلَ سَافِلِينَ
6. إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ
6. إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ
7. فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِالدِّينِ
7. فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِالدِّينِ
8. أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ الْحَاكِمِينَ
8. أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ الْحَاكِمِينَ
Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem
Wat teeni waz zaitoon
Wa toori sineen
Wa haazal balad-il ameen
Laqad khalaqnal insaana fee ahsani taqweem
Thumma ra dad naahu asfala saafileen
Ill-lal lazeena aamanoo wa 'amilus saalihaati; falahum ajrun ghairu mamnoon
Fama yu kaz zibuka b'adu bid deen
Alai sal laahu bi-ahkamil haakimeen
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
By the Fig and the Olive,
And the Mount of Sinai,
And this City of security,-
We have indeed created man in the best of moulds,
Then do We abase him (to be) the lowest of the low,-
Except such as believe and do righteous deeds: For they shall have a reward unfailing.
Then what can, after this, contradict thee, as to the judgment (to come)?
Is not Allah the wisest of judges?
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

1. وَالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ

3. وَهَٰذَا الْبَلَدِ الْأَمِينِ

4. لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ فِي أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ

5. ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَاهُ أَسْفَلَ سَافِلِينَ

6. إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ
6. إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ
7. فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِالدِّينِ

8. أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ الْحَاكِمِينَ

1. ٱلتِّينِ (at-teen) - The fig
Example Sentence: وَٱلتِّينِ وَٱلزَّيْتُونِ (wat-teen wa-zaytoon)
Translation: By the fig and the olive.
2. وَٱلزَّيْتُونِ (wa-zaytoon) - And the olive

Example Sentence: وَٱلتِّينِ وَٱلزَّيْتُونِ (wat-teen wa-zaytoon)
Translation: By the fig and the olive.
3. وَطُورِ (wa-toor) - And Mount
3. وَطُورِ (wa-toor) - And Mount
Example Sentence: وَطُورِ سِينِينَ (wa-toori seenīn)
Translation: And Mount Sinai.
4. سِينِينَ (seenīn) - Sinai

Example Sentence: وَطُورِ سِينِينَ (wa-toori seenīn)
Translation: And Mount Sinai.
5. وَهَٰذَا (wa-haazā) - And this

Example Sentence: وَهَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ ٱلْأَمِينِ (wa-haazal baladil amīn)
Translation: And this secure city.
6. ٱلْبَلَدِ (al-balad) - City

Example Sentence: وَهَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ ٱلْأَمِينِ (wa-haazal baladil amīn)
Translation: And this secure city.
7. ٱلْأَمِينِ (al-ameen) - Secure

Example Sentence: وَهَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ ٱلْأَمِينِ (wa-haazal baladil amīn)
Translation: And this secure city.
8. لَقَدْ (laqad) - Certainly

Example Sentence: لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَانَ فِيٓ أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ (laqad khalaqnal insāna fee ahsani taqweem)
Translation: Certainly, We created man in the best form.
9. خَلَقْنَا (khalaqna) - We created

Translation: Certainly, We created man in the best form.

Translation: In the best form.
11. أَحْسَنِ (ahsani) - Best

Translation: In the best form.
12. تَقْوِيمٍ (taqweem) - Form

Example Sentence: فِيٓ أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ (fee ahsani taqweem)
Translation: In the best form.
13. ثُمَّ (thumma) - Then

Example Sentence: ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَٰهُ أَسْفَلَ سَٰفِلِينَ (thumma radadnāhu asfala sāfileen)
Translation: Then We returned him to the lowest of the low.
14. رَدَدْنَٰهُ (radadnāhu) - We returned him

Example Sentence: ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَٰهُ أَسْفَلَ سَٰفِلِينَ (thumma radadnāhu asfala sāfileen)
Translation: Then We returned him to the lowest of the low.
15. أَسْفَلَ (asfala) - Lowest

Example Sentence: ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَٰهُ أَسْفَلَ سَٰفِلِينَ (thumma radadnāhu asfala sāfileen)
Translation: Then We returned him to the lowest of the low.
16. سَٰفِلِينَ (sāfileen) - Of the low

Example Sentence: ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَٰهُ أَسْفَلَ سَٰفِلِينَ (thumma radadnāhu asfala sāfileen)
Translation: Then We returned him to the lowest of the low.
17. إِلَّا (illā) - Except

Example Sentence: إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ (illā alladhīna āmanū wa 'amilū aṣ-ṣāliḥāt)
Translation: Except those who believe and do righteous deeds.
18. ٱلَّذِينَ (alladhīna) - Those who

Example Sentence: إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ (illā alladhīna āmanū)
Translation: Except those who believe.
19. ءَامَنُوا۟ (āmanū) - Believe

Example Sentence: إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ (illā alladhīna āmanū)
Translation: Except those who believe.
20. وَعَمِلُوا۟ (wa 'amilū) - And do

Example Sentence: وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ (wa 'amilū aṣ-ṣāliḥāt)
Translation: And do righteous deeds.
21. ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ (aṣ-ṣāliḥāt) - Righteous deeds

Example Sentence: وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ (wa 'amilū aṣ-ṣāliḥāt)
Translation: And do righteous deeds.
22. فَلَهُمْ (fa-lahum) - For them

Example Sentence: فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ (fa-lahum ajrun ghayru mamnoon)
Translation: For them is a reward uninterrupted.
23. أَجْرٌ (ajrun) - Reward

Example Sentence: فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ (fa-lahum ajrun ghayru mamnoon)
Translation: For them is a reward uninterrupted.
24. غَيْرُ (ghayru) - Uninterrupted

Example Sentence: فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ (fa-lahum ajrun ghayru mamnoon)
Translation: For them is a reward uninterrupted.
25. مَمْنُونٍ (mamnoon) - Uninterrupted

Example Sentence: فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ (fa-lahum ajrun ghayru mamnoon)
Translation: For them is a reward uninterrupted.
26. فَمَا (fa-mā) - So what

Example Sentence: فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِٱلدِّينِ (fa-mā yukadh-dhibuka ba'du bid-dīn)
Translation: So what causes you to deny the Recompense?
27. يُكَذِّبُكَ (yukadh-dhibuka) - Causes you to deny

Example Sentence: فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِٱلدِّينِ (fa-mā yukadh-dhibuka ba'du bid-dīn)

Translation: So what causes you to deny the Recompense?
30. أَلَيْسَ (alaysa) - Is not

Example Sentence: أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ ٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ (alaysa allāhu bi-ahkamil ḥākimeen)
Translation: Is not Allah the most just of judges?
31. بِأَحْكَمِ (bi-ahkamil) - The most just

Example Sentence: أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ ٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ (alaysa allāhu bi-ahkamil ḥākimeen)

32. ٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ (al-ḥākimeen) - Of judges

Example Sentence: أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ ٱلْحَٰكِمِينَ (alaysa allāhu bi-ahkamil ḥākimeen)
Translation: Is not Allah the most just of judges?
