APLE is delighted that you are joining us as a new librarian or non-managerial staff member of TLCPL. Your role is critical in fulfilling the Library’s mission of providing quality service to our customers throughout Lucas County.

Staff like you make our union great. When you join APLE, you gain the right to offer input, vote on your contract, run for union office and vote for union officers. And with your active participation, we can organize more staff to build power in the workplace and at the bargaining table.
You may choose to become a full dues-paying member of APLE immediately upon employment, but please note that full membership and protection is not available until after your 6 months probationary period is over.
