EC Engine Case

Got this together with the fuel pump. Replaced the case as part of my original case was mildly damaged during the cam replacement works. EC provides witth the OEM gasket.

On side stand, some engine oil did spill out.  Maybe about 500ml.

Aprilia Dorsoduro kits were supplied with color washers and bolts.

Thinking of changing to Ti bolts and maybe powdercoat the spring holders.

Installed. Took some big cleaning.

Now some spinning action.

Further update to the mod. Wanted to add some color. EC only sells the pressure plate for 2016 onwards (softer OEM clutch).

Replacing 6 oem steel clutch bolts with titanium.

17gram saved. Peanuts  but some gyroscopic mass reduced.

Dipped the oem clutch spring holders in Vinegar for 30 mins. This is to remove any oil residue.

Washed and torched them to remove any water residue that may be left behind.

Black spray from VHT paint meant for suspension. I used this spray on my Thruxton fork legs and still holding up well.

Thought of powder coating. Lack of prompt response from Vendors led me to spray. Besides - got it done in 2hrs with 3 coats of paint.

15 mins intervals for the first 2 coat, and 1 hour rest on final code, before assembly.

Finished product.  I thought of painting the pressure plate black as well, but will keep it for another day - maybe during clutch plate replacement.

Took it for 2 rides and still holding up. Will see how the paint holds up before spraying the pressure plate.

Oh ya, I didn't feel any gyromass reduction. Too little.
