Carbon subframe
Don't recommend this mod unless you are getting a high quality workmanship. This piece at alignment issues and the tank mount is just a bonded 90degree piece. No reinforcement.
The OEM metal subframe at 1444g.
Got the carbon ones from Aliexpress at 300 USD. Aliexpress refunded only $56 for the damage. Had it repaired locally with fiber.
Carbon at 684g. Thats 760g savings.
Finished product. All holes lined up except, the critical tank mounts.
Don't recommend buying from Aliexpress. Planning to get a replacement from Carbomoto (Germany) at some point.
Update: Feb 2023
Decided to revert to the original. The tank mount on all carbon subframes that I surveryed will also just a skinny right angle piece and there were no ribs to add strength.
Few other thread joints broke too.
No more weight savings.
While reinstalling the original subframe, replaced 2 of the subframe bolts and handers bolts with titanium.
