ABS Delete

Bought this for $250 with high hopes. In fairness, its not advertised as compatible for H2. But other resellers claimed they received positive feedback.

Of course if didn't work.

Then bought a used "working" ABS on ebay for my surgery mod. Also didn't work. Last, I pried my own ABS that I removed.

ABS alone weighs - 650g

Unless you have a female torx, monkey pliers will do the job. Be gentle.

The cover glued with sealant. Some hammering with a flat head screw driver will pull it apart.

The motor will require some prying.

Now the major prying starts. Really have to hammer in at least 2 flat head screw drivers to push the pieces apart.

Prying half way

Wala!

Removed the loose hanging metal connectors with a long nose plier. Being careful not to damage the PCB.

And flat grinded the surface.

3D printed a surface cover. Or you can use any plastic covers.

Used plastic cement.

Not shown here:

Covered in a plastic bag and wrapped up with black tape.

Now only 92g. Thats 560g saved.

No error code or KIBS flashing. But ABS light stays on.

I suspect the current return is missing and that triggers the error.

Havent get around that yet. Or will just use a black sticker to cover the ABS indicator.
