Porco Galliard was an Eldian Warrior from Marley and the younger brother of Marcel Galliard.
He inherited the power of the Jaw Titan, noted for its incredible speed and crushing jaws.
Though often bitter and arrogant, he was deeply protective of his fellow Warriors.
His role in the battle against Paradis Island left a lasting impact on the war’s outcome.
Porco Galliard was a young Eldian man of average height, with hazel eyes and blond hair styled in an undercut, swept back neatly. He usually wore combat trousers and a short coat, with the Eldian armband on his left arm, as all Eldians under Marley’s rule were required to display. While undercover on Paradis Island, Porco even went so far as to steal a Scout Regiment uniform, disguising himself as part of the Yeagerists.
In his Jaw Titan form, Porco’s Titan had a striking design. It possessed deep-set eyes under a heavy brow, long blond hair, and a prominent beard covering his chin. Instead of lips, his Titan sported a cog-like arrangement of hardened skin, giving it a fearsome and unique appearance. His Titan’s face, fingers, and knuckles were armored, making it exceptionally dangerous in close combat. Built with a muscular and agile body, the Jaw Titan relied on incredible speed and power, often moving on all fours to tear through enemies.
Porco Galliard was known for his bravery and combat prowess. He often put himself in danger, using his Titan to shield his fellow Warriors, such as Gabi Braun and Falco Grice, from enemy fire. While his actions could be interpreted as courage, it is also likely that Porco was confident in his Titan’s resilience, having fought across many battlefields. As a soldier, he displayed a fearless, head-on approach, charging into battle with lethal intent.
However, Porco also carried a bitter and condescending streak, especially towards Reiner Braun. He frequently mocked and belittled him, holding resentment from past rivalries. His personality leaned toward passive-aggressiveness and arrogance, often believing his own Titan powers gave him superiority, even against the experienced Scout Regiment—something that later shocked him when they fought him evenly.
Despite his arrogance, Porco was not without compassion. He genuinely cared for his fellow Warriors and candidates, showing warmth towards younger members like Gabi. Although often cold toward older Warriors, his loyalty and emotional investment were clear, as seen when he displayed anger and panic when Pieck and Zeke were defeated. The revelation of Bertholdt Hoover’s death drove him into recklessness, further highlighting how deeply he valued his comrades, even if he struggled to show it directly.
Porco Galliard’s story began years before the Paradis Island operation. As a child, he was one of the leading candidates to inherit the Armored Titan. During the selection process, he openly criticized Reiner Braun, claiming he was the weakest and lacked any true talent, only relying on blind devotion to Marley.
Porco’s fiery personality often led to conflict. He once punched Reiner after being accused of being an Eldian spy, only to be stopped by his elder brother, Marcel Galliard. Despite Marcel’s attempts to calm him, Porco continued to mock Reiner throughout their training. In the end, however, it was decided in 843 that Reiner would inherit the Armored Titan, while Marcel received the Jaw Titan. Enraged, Porco confronted Reiner but was stopped once again by Marcel, who reminded him that insubordination could cost him dearly. Eventually, Porco bowed and offered an apology.
When the Marleyan Warriors departed for Paradis Island, Porco remained behind on the mainland, unaware of the tragedy that would befall his brother. Years later, after inheriting the Jaw Titan from Ymir, Porco carried on the Galliard name as one of Marley’s key Warriors, forever tied to both his family’s legacy and the fateful rivalry with Reiner.
