Dot Pixis was the highest-ranking commander of the Southern Territory in the Walls and the commander of the Garrison Regiment. Known for his sharp mind, unique charisma, and unorthodox leadership style, he played a pivotal role in humanity’s survival during several critical moments of the war against the Titans. Unlike most military leaders, Pixis was renowned for his flexibility, pragmatism, and willingness to take risks for the greater good. 

Pixis was an elderly but sharp-looking man with a bald head and a distinct mustache. Despite his age, he maintained an aura of discipline and command. He was almost always seen wearing the standard Garrison uniform, often with his hands calmly folded behind his back. A defining aspect of his appearance was the small flask of alcohol he carried, a symbol of his laid-back yet fearless nature. His stature and presence radiated authority, earning the respect of both subordinates and peers. 

Pixis’s personality was a blend of wit, composure, and boldness. He was famous for his eccentric behavior, such as openly admitting his fondness for alcohol, yet he never let these quirks compromise his sense of duty. Above all, Pixis valued humanity’s survival and independence, even if it meant going against the established norms or higher authorities. Unlike many military leaders, he demonstrated empathy toward common people and a genuine understanding of soldiers’ morale. His ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations made him a source of confidence during humanity’s darkest hours. 

Early Life and Career: Little is revealed about Pixis’s youth, but he rose through the ranks of the military, eventually becoming the commander of the Southern Territories. His reputation as both a strategist and an unorthodox thinker preceded him.

Battle of Trost (850): Pixis played a decisive role during the defense of Trost District, where Titans breached the outer gate. Rather than ordering a retreat, he placed his faith in the younger generation, particularly Eren Yeager, using his Titan powers to seal the gate with a boulder. This gamble saved countless lives and marked a turning point in humanity’s fight.

Relations with the Cadets and Scouts: Unlike other leaders who distrusted the Scouts or the Titan shifters, Pixis was open-minded and recognized the potential in young soldiers such as Eren, Armin, and Mikasa. His trust in them allowed humanity to attempt bold strategies that other leaders would have dismissed as reckless.

Uprising Against the Government (851): Pixis allied with Erwin Smith and the Scout Regiment during the power struggle against the corrupt royal government. His decision to support the coup ensured that the military’s strength was united under a new regime that sought the truth about the Titans and humanity’s past.

Later Years and Death (854): During the Marleyan surprise attack on Paradis and the ensuing chaos caused by the Yeagerists, Pixis continued to serve faithfully. However, he tragically fell victim to Zeke Yeager’s spinal fluid plan, transforming into a Titan after drinking contaminated wine. Later, in the retaking of Shiganshina, he was mercifully slain by the Alliance, ending the life of one of humanity’s greatest commanders.
