The Beast Titan was one of the Nine Titans, unique for its animal-like appearance that varied depending on its inheritor. While most Titans retained human traits, the Beast Titan could resemble many creatures such as apes, wolves, lions, crocodiles, birds, and even dinosaurs. Zeke Yeager’s Beast Titan was most recognized for its ape-like form, which granted him immense strength and a distinct advantage in battle.
Unlike most Titans with a human-like appearance, the Beast Titan displayed animal traits that varied with its inheritors. Past holders showed forms resembling monkeys, birds, crocodiles, bulls, wolves, snakes, dinosaurs, lions, turtles, and elephants. Zeke Yeager’s Beast Titan looked like an ape, while Tom Xaver’s had traits of a bighorn sheep. Falco Grice even mentioned a winged Beast Titan, and Zeke’s spinal fluid was powerful enough to transform Falco into a Titan, giving his Jaw Titan falcon-like traits.
Zeke Jaeger’s ape-like Beast Titan had a devastating throwing ability with great accuracy and destructive power. He used it in the Battle of Shiganshina to wipe out most of the Scout Regiment with rocks, once threw a horse at Miche Zacharius from long distance, and later annihilated the Mid-East Allied Forces’ naval fleet at Fort Slava.
During the brief battle with Levi, Zeke attempted to harden his Beast Titan's nape. However, Levi cut the Beast Titan down before it could harden. The Beast Titan would later display the ability to harden its nape during their rematch. However, it was not strong enough to withstand the damage from several Thunder Spears.
With his royal blood, one of the most dangerous abilities of Zeke's Beast Titan was to turn Subjects of Ymir into Titans using his spinal fluid and a roar, similar to the Founding Titan and Female Titan. This power was used during the Wall Rose invasion (residents of Ragako) and when Marley dropped Titans onto Fort Slava. Marley commonly used this tactic by preparing Eldians and letting Zeke transform them. However, the power had a limited range.
Zeke's Beast Titan could control Pure Titans he created with his screams, allowing him to command their actions, make them resist eating humans, and even function with only moonlight without fatigue. However, this ability was imperfect, as some Titans could ignore his orders.
