PROJECT LEAD THE WAY (PLTW)

Project Lead The Way is an engaging, hands-on, project and problem-based curriculum that empowers students to develop in-demand knowledge and skills. UGHS offers the PLTW Biomedical Science pathway.

PLTW+MSOE

Based on the structure, relevance, and rigor of the PLTW course material, Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) offers transcripted undergraduate credit to high school students who successfully complete all requirements listed below.

· Successfully complete the PLTW course with a grade of B or better in classroom coursework

· Earn a stanine score of 7 or higher on the end-of-course exam

· Submit $200 per approved course

· Submit an application available at http://msoe.edu/pltw

Courses available for undergraduate credit at MSOE:

· Principles of Biomedical Sciences (PBS)

· Human Body Systems (HBS)

· Medical Interventions (MI)

It should be noted that students will be able to obtain a college transcript from MSOE and could transfer credits to another institution. Students are encouraged to contact other institutions to seek information regarding PLTW recognition as each could be different.
