At-Risk Programs
Some students may find it difficult to obtain success in high school. According to Wisconsin law, a student is at-risk if the student is one or more years behind in credits and one or more of the following has occurred:
*Excessive truancy (15% unexcused absences),
*A teenage parent,
*A student who has been in the jurisdiction of a court,
*A student who is one year or more behind in an academic area such as math or reading.
Other factors may also contribute to a student being at-risk. UGUHS has an at-risk coordinator on staff who will determine whether such a designation can be made. The coordinator also determines placement. See the At-Risk Option Tab
