Gateway College Credit Options

Gateway Technical College Articulation Agreements

Union Grove Union High School District has made articulation agreements with Gateway Technical College so that students can earn college credit while in high school at no cost to the student. There are two types of articulation agreements: Advanced Standing and Transcripted Credit. Below you will find the definition of both types of articulation with a listing of courses that have such agreements. Please note that the lists are subject to change due to pending agreements and renewals with GTC

Transcripted Credit

Students earn high school credits and college credits at the same time. They are college courses taught at UGHS by a UGHS teacher. Students are enrolled as a college student at Gateway Technical College, and credits will appear on a college transcript.

The GTC agreements are subject to change

Advanced Standing

Similar to transcripted credit, but advanced standing credits are not awarded until the student enrolls at Gateway Technical College after high school graduation. Students must earn a final grade of B or better in the course to be eligible to earn advanced standing credits.
