College Credit Program

The following two programs were formerly known as Youth Options. Any classes taken through these programs must be either 100% different than courses offered at UGHS or the student must have exhausted all courses offered at UGHS before taking like classes at the post-secondary level. Please see your counselor for more information regarding possible classes.

“Start College Now Program” through the 2-year technical schools

  • Technical college program courses only

  • Take up to 18 credits of college classes while still in high school

  • UGHS will pay for tuition and books as long as student passes the class(es)

  • March 1st is the deadline for Fall enrollment

  • October 1st is the deadline for Spring enrollment

  • Classes also count as elective credit at UGHS

  • See your counselor for an application

  • Courses will not be added to a student’s schedule until after they have selected a full course load of UGHS classes

“Early College Credit Program” through the 4-year UW schools

  • Program offered by the UW System

  • Students will be able to take college level courses while still enrolled in high school

  • March 1st is the deadline for Fall enrollment

  • October 1st is the deadline for Spring enrollment

  • See your counselor for an application

  • Courses will not be added to a student’s schedule until after they have selected a full course load of UGHS classes
