Summer 2025
In Coding Club this year, we created 8-bit images and used these designs to write an algorithm; this code was actually used in space on the International Space Station! We had to write a program to take a reading from the colour and luminosity sensor on an Astro Pi computer on board the International Space Station, and use it to set the background colour in our personalised image. We all received a certificate, which shows the time and position in orbit, our program ran. How amazing is that?
Spring 2025
In Coding Club this term, we have been using BBC Micro:bits. We wrote an algorithm to create the game 'Rock, Paper, Scissors'. We had great fun!
Autumn 2024
In Coding Club this term, we have been creating 8-bit images. We used these to write an algorithm, which will be used to enter a competition to run a program on the ISS later this year! How exciting!
We made our own step counters and tested them out!
Spring 2024
In coding club this term, we took delivery of our BBC Micro:bits. We had fun exploring the components, before programing them.
