Sgraffito

The main idea that guided my work was wanting everything to be somewhat symmetrical. I don't usually work in designs but I wanted to branch out to something I don't typically do.  I wanted to incorporate plants into it because I have always really loved greenery but I was never good at drawing or painting them.

I used a scraper on the clay tile covered in the glaze.

As I was going through the process of creating, I began to dislike it. I am usually hard on my work however I still don't like how it turned out. That's ok though. Again, this was a learning experience because I had never done something like this before, so I'm glad I atleast tried it.
