Assemblage Sculpture

The main idea that guided my artwork was the independent project that was yet to come. I knew what I wanted to do for that project so I wanted to have another piece similar. I chose to do a blank girl with a butterfly. I put magazines around the armature to make it look 'trashy'. 

I used paper machete, magazines, tape, yarn, and wire. I wanted to create this image of many images put together to create one singular entity. 

This process was a learning experience for me, mainly because this medium is something I haven't used since fourth grade. I haven't used paper machete in this way, it has always been on a dinosaur or random blob of stuff. In conclusion, this is something I probably wouldn't do again but I am glad I had the time to try it.
