Donate Life

The main idea I wanted to express in this piece was connecting our dependency on bees to donating and saving lives. We can't live without bees, that's just a fact, and others can't live without organs and tissues. We all have to help and do our part to save others, just like bees do for us every day.

I used water colors and gouache because I feel most comfortable with them. I may not be a professional but I still understand the feel of these kinds of paints.

Throughout making this artwork, I had a pretty general idea of how I wanted it to come out. I didn't come out exactly how I wanted it to, but again when does it ever? In this experience I was able to do things I haven't really tried. I never felt confident drawing animals so this was stepping out of my comfort zone.
