Acrylic on Bristol
The main idea that guided my artwork was space. I had looked on pinterest and google for inspiration when a picture of a nebula cloud popped up. It wasn't cartoony or anything but it gave me the idea for space and to do the thing I love. Even though we can't see it, space has so many colours that just aren't in our eyes ability to see.
I used acrylic paint on a large bristol pad. We were required to layer the paint many times to make it a flat colour with no brushstrokes.
In this piece I wanted to use my love of space to show what we could be missing. Obviously this isn't exactly what deep space looks like but it gives the mind and imagination something to think about.
