For this drawing I chose to draw a corner of a hallway instead of the corner of a room. I chose to draw a hallway because I just felt like there was more going on in a hallway rather than the corner of a room. I chose the hallway by the nurses office because of the fact that I liked the way that the wall went from a brick shape into glass. The main idea behind this work was that in class we needed to draw either the corner of a hallway or the corner of a room. The whole idea behind this was it was a good way for the teacher to gage where we were as artists. Another thing that geared my drawing was how it needed to be a perspective drawing. In conclusion my idea that guided my drawing was the task of creating a perspective drawing of the corner of a hallway or room.

For this project the only materials I used were a graphite pencil, an eraser, a ruler, and a piece of paper. The graphite pencil I used was an HB. I used this pencil to draw everything but I used a light one so if I messed up you couldn't see the lines as clearly. Obviously I used the eraser to get rid of anything I didn't like. The spot I used the eraser most was when I was drawing bubble letters. The ruler was used so I could create straight lines for the bricks in the picture. I think if I were to do this again I would add some color to my drawing. The reason I didn't add color was because I didn't have time when each drawing was supposed to take us twenty minutes.

For this drawing I didn't do any research because I knew that we needed to base it off of something we experienced in that moment. For this the only thing I practiced were bubble letters. I practiced these because of the fact that I can have some trouble making the letter N symmetrical at times. The only revision I did before turning this project in were the bricks. I revised the brick because of the fact that I didn't like how they were uneven at some points. Unfortunately I didn't practice because I didn't have time if the whole project was only twenty minutes long. Like I said if I had more time I think I would have experimented with colors a little more. I think one thing that took me longer than it should have was the bubble letters because I practiced for a little while.
