Leading Lines

Leading lines are lines that appear in a photograph that have been framed and positioned by the photographer to draw the viewer's eye towards a specific point of interest. These lines often draw the viewer's eye in a specific direction or towards a designated portion of the photograph.

Framing

Framing is a photography compositional technique that isolates a subject using elements within a scene as a frame.

Shooting through an object/item to focus on the main subject behind it. The subject is “framed” by something in the foreground

This is more simply just getting down low on a object and point up to the sky at it with your camera.

Artist Statement: This project was a new way to emphasize photography, through photo edits that make the photo stand out more in different ways. I enjoyed making three different edits for three different photos because it gave me different photo compositions (Leading Line, Framing and Angle up) to edit with. These photo edits give photographers a different way to catch someones attention other than the composition and where it is. I ended up getting 9 different edits like many others, one of my favorites is the second to last and the last one on the page. I liked them because they differ from what I was trying to do in the previous edits with Leading lines and Framing.
