I didn't have anything specific in mind when working on this. I just started picking and adding random colors to different sections in a way that I thought would look ok. I think it looks good the way it turned out even if it is a bit jumbled and confusing to look at. The only way that this really relates to my life is that it's based off my shoe, but beyond that I'm not really sure what it has to do with anything. I just kept adding random little spots until I liked the way it looked.

I used watercolor paper, sharpie, watercolors, and painters tape. I used watercolor because it is easier to relatively neatly fill in a large section without messing it up, easier to make cool effects with, and easier to mix new colors. I used the sharpie so it wouldn't bleed at all when I put water over it, and I used masking tape to block off the other sections so the lines were clean.

I started by copying down the most zoomed in section of my original shoe drawing, and added sharpie over it so there were clear sections that wouldn't bled when the watercolor was added. I taped off the biggest section so no paint would cross over the line and make it look messy, and I covered that section with water so it would be easier to start adding paint. I started to pick out a few different colors pretty randomly and just started putting them onto the paper. When that had dried I repeated this process for the next three sections, trying to make each a little different. If I were to do this again I might pick a different, more interesting part of the shoe to zoom in on, but overall I am pretty happy with it.
