It was very hard to find something that even remotely resembled a hallway in my house because I have a very square house with large rooms and no real hallway sections. I ended up moving a couple of things around and standing in a doorway so that it would at least have perspective but since I had to do this in the upstairs of my house you can see where the roof slopes the ceiling in the corner. I also chose not to draw everything on the shelves because I think it would have ended up looking very jumbled and unfinished.

I used drawing paper, pencil, gel pen, and a ruler to create this. I like this choice of material because it is easy to erase extra lines on normal drawing paper which is important with perspective drawing. I did have to be very careful with the gel pen because it was prone to smudging if i ran my hand or the ruler over the lines I had just made as you can see in a couple places, but overall I am happy with it. I chose not to use any colours beyond the black and white because I liked the clean look it had as it was.

The railing was very difficult and there are still parts of it that aren't great but it is recognizable as a railing so it is ok. If I were to do it again I would probably work harder to make the railing look better but as it is since I already put pen over it there isn't much I can do. I started with the back wall, but it surprised me with how difficult it was to get the angle of the roof right. There was no real reference point to go off of I just had to try things until they looked good but I like the way it turned out. The dresser was also surprisingly difficult because I had to make it line up perfectly with the back corner and get the mirror on top leaning correctly. This was hard because I kept messing up angles and making lines too short or too long but in the end I think it looks good.
