Designing Abstraction

What guided this project for me was randomness. I wanted to show randomness with this project because my favourite abstraction-based projects tend to be a bit more random. I enjoy looking at them a bit more because there's less structure to them and they can be more interesting. Other than the idea of randomness there wasn't actually much that went into the plan for this project.

I used water colour for this project because it's easier to quickly fill in space with water colour, and it's also easier to make a variety of shades of colours because all you have to do is add water. Overall I think water colour was a good choice.

I didn't really have much of a plan going into doing this, my plan was really more to do something as randomly as possible. I made a number of random lines across the paper in sharpie to start without much planning and then put a random colour into each one.
