Time Capsule

These three drawing are a self portrait, perspective, and still life. The reason these are called time capsule drawings is because we will look at these at the end of the year and re-draw them to see how we grew. For all of these I used pencil, and for the self portrait I used a mirror that was propped up in order to help me draw my self.

The reason I decided to draw my water bottle was 1) it was right in front of me at the time and 2) the stickers on it added a lot of detail to a simple water bottle and caused me to push myself.

As for my room I just picked a corner in my house that had things in it that weren't just straight on so it still challenged me.

For the perspective drawing I had to pay close attention to angles and lines. I kept drawing some things more straight on then at an angle but then I would get a better perspective of what it should look like and revised it.

My water bottle required paying attention to shape and detail with the shape of my water bottle as well as making sure my stickers were proportional, and paying attention to details from the stickers.

My self portrait required to always draw what I see and to pay attention to the shape of eye, lips, nose, etc.

The meaning for each of these drawings are to see how we're going to improve throughout the year.

These drawing all relate to my life because they are all something I see and use in my everyday life.
