84 Color Project

The point of this project was to take the twelve colors on the color wheel and make three tints (adding white) and three shades (adding black) to each color for each color to be broken up into seven sections in total equalling eighty four colors. I decided to do my eighty four color project of an elephant inspired by Indian elephant designs. The painting was done with acrylic paint. Each color was mixed by a lot of white, a little bit less white, than a lot less white, and same when being mixed with black. I put the blue and green in the background to make it look like an abstract sky and ground. Then I used the other colors to paint the patterns on the elephant. After I cleaned up the edges with a black oil sharpie. If I were to improve this project I would've done more layers of paint for some of the colors.
