Linear Perspective

Linear perspective

The point of this project was to focus on drawing shapes to a vanishing point to create perspective. The first project we did focused on one point and two point perspective where we 2D squares and rectangles and turned them 3D by connecting them to the vanishing point (one point). Then we did an interior perspective drawing where we practiced drawing a room and we had a list of credentials that we had to follow for the room. Then for a summative we drew the hallway of the school. All the lines had to be straight and heading towards the vanishing point, as well as all the extra lines had to be erased. For all of these drawings we started very lightly with pencil, then we could sharpie them or color them if we pleased to.

This project took a lot of practicing at first so there were many things I would go back and do differently, such as drawing lighter to make sure all of my extra lines aren't visible. Also with the interior project I messed up with the sharpie which made it look worse.

This project was interesting to do because everyone could have placed their vanishing points in different locations which could cause the same space to have a different look on paper, which is what perspective is about because not everyone sees the same place the same way.
